Last week I went on a small getaway to Rhode Island to see a boxing match. As I was packing my make-up bag, I grabbed my foundation that was near empty. Even though I had a back up, I said to myself , “Eh, It’s only for a day. I should be okay” as I toss the bottle into the bag and continue packing. I should have listened to my gut feeling because I completely ran out of foundation on my trip.
I know some people are probably reading this like, “What’s the big deal? It’s just make-up“. I started to pound the empty bottle on the back of my hand trying to get anything left in the bottle and I got nothing. I started to search my make-up bag for other products and I had an “Ah-ha” moment. I packed concealer and translucent powder with me!
Listed below are the products I used that awkward time I ran out of foundation:
Concealer: MAC Select Cover Up in NC45 – I’m never going to leave the house without this. This concealer gives light coverage but its buildable and can definitely reach medium coverage. I used this to spot correct my discoloration with a damp beauty sponge by Real Techniques. Concealer can be found Here . Beauty Sponge can be purchased Here
Translucent Powder: I completely love this powder from Black Opal! I’m not sure why I stopped using it as often but I’m so thankful that I had this in my bag. #Clutch. Can be purchased Here
Blush : Coral/ Orange colored blushes look amazing on brown skin. It makes the skin look healthy and fresh without being overly done. This one is called Corralina by Milani and can be purchased Here
Bronzaaa’ (Bronzer) : Shoutout to VICKYLOGAN on Youtube that put ya girl on to this bronzer duo from ELF. I do not use the blush side but the bronzer is life! It is a true chocolate brown that has very small gold flex in it which cause a glow. I slightly have high cheekbones already but this shapes my face a little bit more when applied to the hollows of my cheeks. I also applied this around my forehead to balance the entire look out. The bronzer is called Turks and Caicos and can be purchased Here
